Important Information for Passengers from USA

  • Quotes and Electronic Ticketings are in Canadian Funds (your credit card company will convert your purchase to US funds)
  • Quotes include all taxes/fees and fares are always subject to availability at time of booking.

1.  Proper ID

Passports are required for all air travel into Canada/USA in accordance to governmental requirement.

2.  Law Issues

Please note that if any passenger has any sort of criminal record such as impaired driving charges... they may be denied entry into Canada and their ticket is nonrefundable.  If this is a concern, please call Canada Border Crossings at 1-800-438-7020 to check out legal requirements before purchasing your ticket.

3.  Tickets

All tickets will be done electronically.  We will email a copy of your itinerary with the electronic ticket numbers enclosed or mail them to you, if you prefer.

Most electronic tickets are totally nonrefundable. If a guest must cancel for some reason, some airlines allow unused tickets to be used for travel into Canada only…for up to one year from original date of travel…provided the unused reservations are cancelled prior to original flying date.  Otherwise, your tickets would be totally invalid.  Change fees plus any possible upgrades would apply at time of date change.

An exception to this rule is for Air Canada Adventure Fares (for lodge guests).  If a reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours prior to travel, a refund may be done after a cancellation fee has been charged.

4.  Sportsman’s Travel Insurance

For lodge guests, we sell Travel Guard insurance to cover your complete travel and lodge visit.  Insurance must be purchased within 15 days of the original deposit with your lodge, to waive the “pre-existing condition clause.  Click on our Insurance site for more details.  Note…this is a complete package that must be purchased for both your lodge stay and airfare.  Insurance just for air travel may be purchased at any time but for “air only” insurance, the pre-existing conditions clause will definitely apply.

5.  Frequent Flyer Numbers

If anyone has a frequent flyer number with the airline that they are traveling with, we would be more than happy to add the number to your file.

6.  Payment

As we are a Canadian business, all tickets are quoted and issued in Canadian funds.  While we will let you know the approximate US value, it is your credit card company that will convert your purchase to US funds.  Payment is accepted by MasterCard, Visa or American Express.  This may be done with one credit card or each person traveling may pay individually. Please do check with your credit card company as some banks do charge an additional “foreign conversion fee”… so beware of those that do.

7.  Minors

A notarized “letter of travel consent” must accompany a child, for guests traveling with minors and only one parent is present.  The parent not traveling must sign this or in the case of a grandparent taking their grandchild (if neither parents are traveling on the trip) both parents must then sign it.  As well, a lawyer or a notary public must notarize this letter.

8.  Schedule Changes

There may be schedule changes from ticketing until the actual flight date.  We will contact you 2 weeks prior to travel with any changes that are more than 15 minutes different from your original itinerary.  If a major schedule change occurs, we would contact you immediately.

9.  Firearm Handling Charge
Air Canada has implemented a firearm handling charge of $50 per direction for all hunters travelling with firearms. This fee is applicable for all flights operated by Air Canada and will be collected upon check-in. This is the responsibility of the guest and the fee is not reundable by your lodge.
